18th December 1700 - Nine Lessons and Carols

The nine lessons and carols service was a beautiful occasion,  we would like to thank Philip Bond and the wonderful Stevington Choir for their wonderful music and also those who read for us.  Mention must also go to Robert Shaftoe for the sterling work he has put in on the organ - it sounded wonderful - and it's not even finished yet!

Last, but by no means least - thanks to all from the village who came on Sunday evening - it was so special to have so many in the church at this wonderful time of the Christian Year.  Happy Christmas to all of you!

Christmas Fayre

Over £600 was raised for church funds for this year's Christmas Fayre.  Many thanks to all who came - it was lovely to see so many in the village coming to support the Church.

2nd December 2005 - Sleep out at St Alban's Cathedral.

James Hamilton from St Mary's spent the night sleeping rough in aid of the King's Arms project for the Homeless of Bedford.  After several hours of rain and a cold night he raised over £300.

4th December 2005 - Christingle Service

The 4th December marked the annual Christingle service for all ages to come and start the preparations for Christmas in the village,  the event was held for the benefit of the Children's Society and included a sermon about the "sad old cow and the little tree"!
